Aquaculture

Soybean meal made from Confluence Genetics’ ProVIA™ soybeans provides a nutrient-dense protein ingredient that fits the needs of the aquaculture industry. By incorporating this novel soybean meal, diet formulators can deliver a performance feed that does not include soy protein concentrate.

Better Beans

Soybean meal made from Confluence Genetics’ ProVIA™ Ultra-High Protein, Low Oligosaccharide (UHP-LO)  soybeans contains higher levels of digestible protein, offering feed formulators an affordable, scalable, and sustainable alternative to concentrated protein ingredients such as soy protein concentrate.

Better Outcomes

Performance

In a feeding study of post-smolt Atlantic salmon, soybean meal made from Confluence Genetics’ ProVIA™ Ultra-High Protein, Low Oligosaccharide (UHP-LO) soybeans maintained equivalent performance to a soy protein concentrate based diet, including par final body weight and feed conversion ratio1. This study also showed that UHP-LO meal has a reduced inflammatory responses compared to conventional soybean meal, as well as has improved protein digestibility relative to soy protein concentrate1. Soybean meal made from ProVIA™ UHP-LO soybeans has been successfully used in commercial salmon production with multiple partners and has also been found to have strong performance in trout, pompano, shrimp, and other species2.
